Wildlife In The Community
The District of Sparwood would like to remind residents that we share our community with a large number of wildlife. It is our responsibility to ensure their safety as well as our own.
- Remove attractants like fallen fruit, bird feeders, and pet food
- Follow garbage bylaws – do not place garbage bins out before 5:00 am on collection day
- Use bear-resistant locks and secure it either in a shed or garage, or secure to a fence
- Dispose of excess garbage properly at the RDEK Sparwood Transfer Station (open daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
