District of Sparwood Launches New Community App
The District of Sparwood is proud to announce the official launch of its new community app, designed to streamline access to local news, enhance communication between residents and foster stronger community engagement.
Available for free download on iOS and Android devices the app will deliver timely updates, information and important alerts directly to users’ smartphones—making it easier than ever to stay connected to what matters most in the community. Complimenting the recently refreshed municipal website and designed with simplicity in mind, the app features an intuitive interface that makes navigation easy for users of all ages and offers a seamless and centralized platform to stay connected to important municipal information.
“Council is committed to continuously enhancing the way we communicate to foster a more informed and engaged community. We are also acutely aware of some of the shortfalls of relying on social media for news and this is where the app will provide significant benefits. Where digital information consumption can become overwhelming, the app will reduce distraction and provide a simple connection to trusted, focused news directly from the source. Whether it's receiving emergency notifications, learning about local events, or finding the latest news, this app is a one-stop shop for access to municipal information and resources,” says Sparwood Mayor David Wilks.
