You can pay in person at 136 Spruce Avenue, online through your bank, or by mailing a cheque (ensure we receive the cheque before July 4 to avoid the penalty, note that post marks will not be accepted as proof of payment date).
Make sure to claim your Home Owner Grant, even if you cannot fully pay your taxes, by July 4 as after this date a 10% penalty will be added to all unpaid taxes from the current year.

The District of Sparwood is seeking residents input into the recreational use and sale of cannabis in Sparwood. The information you provide will help Council determine the extent to which the District will regulate the location of retail stores (including setting distance requirements between cannabis retail stores and schools, daycares and other land uses); personal cultivation; commercial production; consumption on municipal property and public places; and whether to impose security requirements and additional restrictions on the hours of operation.

The District of Sparwood has completed the 2017 Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program (CARIP) Public Report as required by the Province of BC. The CARIP Report summarizes the actions taken in 2017 and those proposed for 2018 to reduce corporate and community‐wide energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and reports on progress towards achieving carbon neutrality.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, the Office Clerk III (Accounts Payable) is responsible for completing work as assigned including but not necessarily limited to the processing of accounts payable, administration of property tax processes and backup for payroll processing. The Office Clerk III is also responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the main office, including general reception and telephone inquiries, cashier duties and other payment processing.
