NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Informal Hearing by the Council for the District of Sparwood will be held on July 16, 2019 at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers, 136 Spruce Avenue, Sparwood, to consider issuance of Development Variance Permit 2019-003 to vary sections of the Sparwood Mobile Home Parks Bylaw No. 288, 1982 including, but not limited to: space widths, setbacks, utility and road standards to address existing and proposed mobile home spaces as identified on Schedule A, B, C and D of the proposed permit as well as the application. A summary of the variances can be found on the reverse page of this notice. Council will then consider issuance of the DVP at the August 20, 2019 Regular Council Meeting.

PURPOSE: The applicants have applied for a new Development Variance Permit (DVP) to replace DVP 2016-003 which expired in 2018. DVP 2019-003 proposes a new layout and is also required to vary the sections of the Mobile Home Park Bylaw to which some of the proposed spaces and many homes do not comply. The intent of the application is to address the mobile home park in its current state while allowing for new development. Approval of the permit will allow the park owners and residents to apply for building permits to replace existing homes, make new additions or decks, and build accessory buildings within the park.
Copies of the draft Development Variance Permit and related materials are linked below or can be viewed at the Municipal Office, 136 Spruce Avenue, Sparwood, B.C., during regular office hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. local time, Monday to Friday from June 28, 2019 to July 16, 2019.
All persons who believe that their interest is affected by the proposed variance shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard in person, by a representative, or by written submission on the matters contained within DVP 2019-003 at the Informal Hearing.
