Development Variance Permit 2016:001

Council for the District of Sparwood will at the Regular Meeting at 1:00 p.m. on May 2, 2016 Council consider Development Variance Permit 2016-001 for a portion of LOT 13 DL 4588 KD PLAN 1358, LOT 1 DL 4588 KDPL NEP64776 (52-100 INDUSTRIAL ROAD #1) as shown on Schedule A (below) to:


a. Vary Zoning Bylaw Section 10.9.14 that a home-based business shall not potentially create a fire hazard by virtue of manufacturing process or material storage to the extent that it may be presented through a home-based meat processing and smoking operation.
b. Vary Zoning Bylaw Section 10.9.15 to eliminate the restrictions against a home-based business from discharging or emitting odorous matter, smoke, and heat to the extent that they may be presented through a home-based meat processing and smoking operation.
c. Vary Zoning Bylaw Section 10.12.2 to allow storage containers in Residential Zones where otherwise they would not be permitted to allow for a home-based meat processing and smoking operation.
d. Vary Mobile Home Park Bylaw Section 4.13(1)(c) to increase the maximum size of an addition to 10 square metres to legalize the existing vestibule (breezeway).
