Direct Sale of Lot 3 Plan EPP23685 & Lot 1 Plan NEP69126 to

The District of Sparwood is considering the direct sale of Lot 3 DL 4589 KD Plan EPP23685, and Lot 1 DL 4589 KD Plan NEP 69126 to 6069789 Canada Inc., Inc. No. A58865 (Teck) under the following general terms noted below, and as further defined in the sales agreement:
• Sale price of Lot 3 - $800,000.00;
• Sale Price of Lot 1 - $315,000.00;
• Registration of an Option to Purchase in favour of the District over Lot 2 and Lot 3, requiring a building permit within two (2) years of the date of transfer and substantial completion of construction of a minimum 40,000 ft2 office within three (3) years of the permit issuance; and,
• Registration of an Option to Purchase in favour of the District over Lot 1, requiring completion of the office and the parking lot on Lot 1 within 12 months of completion of the office,
- Registration of a Covenant pursuant to S. 219 of the Land Title Act.
The lots are located on either side of Highway 3 – Lot 3 at 2100 Middletown Place and Lot 1 behind the Husky.
These lots are being considered for a direct sale under Section 26 (1) & (3) of the Community Charter.
