Standard First Aid

The Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid certification is now equivalent to Occupational First Aid Level 1 and is approved by WorkSafeBC.

This course is filled with comprehensive training covering all aspects of First Aid, CPR and AED use. 

Whether you need training for employment or simply want to be prepared in the event of an emergency, this course is for you!
Registration $176.94

Elk River Shoreline Clean Up

Join the Elk River Alliance for this year’s 9th annual Elk River Shoreline Cleanup! Volunteers are encouraged to meet us in Sparwood, Fernie and Elkford to adopt sites along the river to remove refuse and noxious weeds.
Get involved and show your love for the Elk River! Let's keep the Elk River drinkable, swimmable and fishable.


Sparwood's Second Annual Business Scarecrow Competition

Join us as we host our second Business Scarecrow Competition. Show your business has a community spirit by participating in this festive autumn contest. The business with the winning scarecrow will be awarded the Best Scarecrow Award at the 2019 Sparwood Business Awards on October 24th. Registration is open to all businesses. Participation is $25 which includes a stake for your scarecrow and a bag of straw.

You are invited to share your thoughts on issues that matter to you and the community. Time will be available before and after the panel discussion to ask questions of individual members of Council and Staff, leave comments on topic boards and provide feedback.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. It’s about working together for a better and stronger Sparwood! If you are not available, please share your ideas and suggestions in writing to Sparwood@sparwood.ca.
