BODY BLAST “FOR WOMEN”
This 1 hour class incorporates gentle strength training and a few cross fit challenges too! You will not get bored!
EARLY MORNING SPIN
An intense 30 minute morning workout to kick start your day!
RISE AND SHINE CIRCUIT CENTRE
Rise and shine through a circuit of full-body exercises working all the major muscle groups to increase strength, power and muscular endurance. Cardio intervals help you burn calories, tone your body and improve cardiovascular endurance.
HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training. This fast paced cardio workout is intended for fitness enthusiasts looking to take their athletic performance to the next level. There will always be new and exciting challenges! Bring your game face! And a towel. This class has a maximum of 8 people.
IN 2 SPIN
Saddle up and experience the most enjoyable and effective workout ever. Spinning is ideal for people of all levels of fitness. The 45 minute spin class will include different workout sections from the warm up, to climbs (hills), through to a variety of sprinting sections. But don’t worry the instructor will guide you through, and everyone cycles to their own pace and sets their own resistance level at all times.
30 MINUTE EXPRESS SPIN
This 30 minute spin class is designed for all fitness levels. The intensity of your ride is under your control, allowing you to work at a pace that is right for your body. The class focuses on aerobic endurance conditioning and aerobic interval training, with brief, high intensity bursts that push past your anaerobic threshold.
SPIN TO WIN
Indoor cycling provides a fun and challenging cardiovascular workout for all ages & fitness levels. Experience a full ride of hills, sprints, endurance intervals with energizing music and motivational instruction. Spinning will enhance strength and stamina, improve your overall physical health and increase your caloric burn. Cardiovascular training such as spinning reduces symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

Bellyfit® is Holistic Fitness for Women who want to feel STRONG, SEXY and SACRED! We’ll rock 30 minutes of high energy cardio moves inspired by Belly Dance, African and Indian Dance, then we’ll come down to the floor for 30 minutes of all levels core work and a relaxing Yoga inspired stretch to let go and de-stress!
PiYo is a music-driven low-impact, high-intensity workout that fuses powerful Pilates and Yoga-inspired moves. It includes modifications and exercise progressions to challenge all fitness levels.
POUND is a full body, lightly choreographed, cardio jam session that uses lightly weighted Ripstix to simulate drumming. Rockout while you workout, fusing cardio, Pilates, strength moves, plyometrics, and isometric poses that are easily modifiable to suit all fitness levels.
This class will encourage you to become familiar with what your body needs, as well as offer a comfortable, non-judgmental environment. Everyone is welcome!
A strength class to pump you up before the weekend! Workouts will use dumbbells and focus on targeted muscle groups and using proper form. Good for all fitness levels.
LADIES MORNING WALLYBALL
Join the ladies for morning exercise and a few laughs. No one takes the game too seriously. Beginners are welcome!
This class is designed to improve coordination and balance while strengthening your entire body.
This low intensity aquatic class is designed for seniors and individuals with, or recovering from muscle or joint injuries.
Participants can pace themselves to enjoy a medium/high intensity workout combining a mixture of cardiovascular exercise, strength training and stretching. (Child minding in tot pool for children 3 yrs +).
Jump right into our aqua classes and build cardiovascular fitness and strength. Just like swimming, our water aerobics classes are easy on the joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness. Because of their low impact format, water aerobics classes are suitable for every age and fitness level, from beginning exercisers through to elite athletes.
SKATE & SHOOT
Skate and Shoot sessions are open ice sessions where players have the opportunity to practice their game and hone their skills.
Safety equipment is required. For ages 18+.

Interested in taking Piano Lessons? Instructor Nicole has Grade Ten in Royal Conservatory and has taught piano lessons for 10 + years. Lessons are available for Teens and Adults.
This course will instruct participants how to belay and climb properly. Participants will learn about climbing equipment, terminology, and safety communication. There will be active instruction for 1.5 hours with a test at the end. Must be 14 years and older.
Pickleball is the fastest growing racquet sport in North America. It combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Come join us at the FJM Gym with clean, dry, non-marking shoes, we will supply everything else! Never played? The first Wednesday of each month is FREE.
SPANISH FOR TRAVELERS
Intermediate Spanish Class. Participants must be able to speak some Spanish.
LEARN HOW TO MAKE PEROGIES
Join us as we learn how to make authentic potato & cheese perogies. Not only will you get to taste what you cook, you will be able to take some home for your family to enjoy!
Join Jesaidy and learn to make Paella which is a Spanish dish prepared by simmering together chicken, seafood, rice, vegetables and saffron with other seasonings. It is sure to satisfy your taste buds and have you coming back for more. It will become a favorite dish to serve to your family and friends.
COOKING WITH ROSE
Chapatis are the perfect accompaniment to most Indian dishes. Learn to make them step by step and hands on with Rose Sharma. Rose will introduce you to the basics of Indian Cuisine using a variety of ingredients.
TAE KWON DO

The District of Sparwood and Interior Health have worked together to create Rehabilitation Partnership Program. Please see the complete brochure for more information on Fit for Health.
This 3 month program is designed for people rehabilitating from injury or disease and/or those who are new to exercise. Under the direct supervision of a Physiotherapist participants will be guided through either a circuit class or gym class. To help in your recovery your program will include access to the Leisure Centre’s Gentle Fit and Aqua Fit classes as well as access to our Lane Swims and Fitness Centre.
Has your Doctor, Pharmacist or Health Care Practitioner recommended exercise as part of your medical treatment? Sparwood is committed to helping people recover from illness, injury and improve their overall health and wellbeing. The Leisure Centre is now accepting a “Prescription for Health” from your Doctor, Pharmacist or Health Care Provider. Simply bring in your prescription for exercise to the Leisure Centre and you can receive three months of discounted access to our Gentle Fit, Aqua Fit and Drop in Fitness Classes as well as access to our Lane Swims and Fitness Centre for three months.
