Sustainability

In 2009, the District of Sparwood adopted a Community Sustainability Plan. This plan was created as a living document and is overseen by a dedicated group of volunteers. Each year the Community Sustainability Committee reviews the document and brings forward actions they feel should be completed that year. While their role is simply to bring forward these items to Council and assess how well they were accomplished at the end of the year, the Committee enjoys taking on a bigger role of implementing the years action items from time to time.
