Planning & Development

The Planning and Engineering Department is responsible for a variety of planning, design and field inspection activities related to municipal bylaws, services and infrastructure in the District of Sparwood.

The Planning Department works on both short-term and long-term planning including management and creation of plans and strategies, including the Official Community Plan (OCP) and the Zoning Bylaw.

The Department performs a number of functions from processing Development Variance Permit or Building Permit Applications to responding to inquiries from the public.
