*New bio to come*

I have been on Council for 21 years and been a member of and chaired various committees during those years. I enjoyed the involvement with the Senior Citizens Villas Board and although I am no longer on it, I still like to be involved with senior issues.

My love of community was what originally and continues to motivate me to run for office. Being on Council is something that I feel driven to do so that I can give back to Sparwood.

Government issues can be very complicated, and very often you just have to listen to your gut and your intuition. You can research all you want, but in the end you listen to your heart and pray for guidance that the decision has been a good one.
I lived in Middletown until I was 15 years old. I loved my childhood in the coal company houses and have many fond memories of good times with family and friends. I, along with many others, moved to Sparwood when the towns were relocated.

I married a local boy who ran a Texaco garage with his father. Maurice and I have been married for 44 years and have 2 grown sons. My work in the hospital over the years has been very rewarding – making sick people laugh or being able to do those little extras for them when I have time, makes me feel so good.

When I was younger, had more time and much more energy, I used to love to ski, snowmobile and go camping, but that is in the past – Life is much too busy now.
