Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment: Changes to the Light Industrial M-1 Zone

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A Public Hearing will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 136 Spruce Avenue, Sparwood, BC, to consider a proposed amendment to the District of Sparwood “Zoning Bylaw No. 264 1981”.

Applicant: District of Sparwood
Property affected: Properties within the M-1 Light Industrial zone.

In general terms, Bylaw 1213 cited as "Zoning Bylaw No. 264, 1981 Amendment Bylaw 1213, 2017” will remove offices as a principal use in the Light Industrial zone. Offices will still be permitted as accessory uses. This will not prohibit any existing office uses in this zone from continuing to exist.

All persons who believe that their interest is affected by the proposed bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard in person, by a representative, or by written submission on the matters contained within Bylaw 1213 at the Public Hearing. Written submissions may be sent to the District of Sparwood, Box 520, Sparwood, BC V0B 2G0. Electronic submissions by email should be sent to sparwood@sparwood.ca. Please note that due to potential email issues, all submissions sent by email should be confirmed by phone at the number listed below. These submissions must be received by no later than 10:00 a.m. on December 4, 2017 in order to ensure their availability to Council at the Public Hearing. All submissions must include your name and street address and are considered public information, pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Following the close of the Public Hearing, no further submissions or comments from the public or interested persons can be accepted by members of Council.

The above Bylaws and related staff reports and background information may be inspected at the Municipal Office, 136 Spruce Avenue, Sparwood, B.C., from November 16, 2017 – December 4, 2017 during regular office hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. local time, Monday to Friday.
