District of Sparwood Staff are exploring the option of creating one or more off-leash dog parks in Sparwood to provide an area for dog owners to let their dogs off-leash. We have created a survey (download the survey .pdf here!) for residents to complete so we can gather input about off-leash park(s) in Sparwood.

The second phase of the Middletown Highway 3 and Highway 43 Intersection Project will commence April 11, 2017 with tree clearing for access road construction for the relocation of overhead BC Hydro power lines.

As a result of the damages sustained from this event, provincial Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) has been authorized for qualifying claimants, such as home owners, residential tenants, small business owners, farmers, charitable organizations and local government bodies, who were unable to obtain insurance to cover these disaster-related losses
