Notice to Bidders
Bid for: OUTDOOR MULTIPURPOSE RECREATION FACILITY FOR THE DISTRICT OF SPARWOOD
Contractors with proven experience and expertise with earthworks and utilities installation are invited to submit proposals setting out one or more means by which the goals, objectives, and other requirements of this request may be best met. The outdoor surface is designed as a multi-use surface allowing for basketball, tennis, pickle ball and will also be able to be converted into an ice surface in the winter months.
This Project includes, but is not limited to, the following components. Approximate quantities of major work items:
- Site preparation;
- Removal and disposal of approximately 300m3 of waste material;
- Construction of the base and subbase for an 15m x 33.5m (50’x110’) asphalt pad;
- Installation of utility services including lighting and water.
Proposals for this project will be received by email, in PDF file format to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: “Request for Proposal: SPARWOOD HEIGHTS MULTIPURPOSE RECREATION FACILITY” and be addressed to Danny Dwyer, Director of Engineering, no later than 2:00 pm MDT, Friday September 15, 2017 (the “Closing Deadline”).
The Request for Proposal documents are on BC Bid (www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca) and any addendums will be posted there.
Plans will be made available on BC Bid no later than September 8, 2017.
This project will be done in accordance to MMCD, District of Sparwood Bylaws and the BC Building Code and must be completed on, or before, October 1st, 2017.
This project is subject to alternate approval process and will not proceed if a successful petition is received.
