The District of Sparwood is looking to fill the position of Reception – Office Clerk I, who, under the direction of the Deputy Director of Finance, will primarily be responsible to receive and refer citizens and incoming telephone calls to the appropriate persons, and to receive and process customer payments.
We invite applications for a Casual Labourer position to join the Public Works Department typically between October 1 and March 31 each year to assist with winter operations and on an on-call basis. This position may be called in other times of the year to cover other absences throughout the year.
Reporting to the Director of Community & Facility Services the Chief Facility Maintenance Operator is responsible for overseeing the Districts recreation infrastructure maintenance programs. The Chief is responsible for the training and supervision of the maintenance team who maintain the community’s arena, curling rink, leisure pool, fitness centre and sports fields; they work with the Public Work department to maintain local parks and trails and assist in the maintaining of all District public buildings.
